This bike is an oldie but a goodie! I bought it awhile back from Jeremy off this board for $500, put about $1000nto parts and rode it for the last 6 months or so. It runs prety good for an old bike, but is about due for a new top end (kinda low compression)

New parts:

New DG pipe and silencer
New fenders and side covers
New "used" orginal seat
Rebuilt front forks
Rebuilt rear swing arm bushings and bearing plus an extra good swing arm.
Both tires are new
Brakes suck! I put new shoes front and rear, but they still suck!
New "used" rear mono shock in great shape.
Plus lots of other internal parts.

I have a pair of old hodaka vintage mxers. 76 Road Toad, and a 76 250 Thunderdog. Can be a PITA, but they are great, and one is street legal.

I have (obviously) shoes both ends, and they do suck. BADLY.

The RM is worth all of what you are asking. Good luck with it.

I don't plan on coming down with the price, in fact I just bought a new rear wheel for it just to make the rear brakes work better cause the hub is shot on it. So there's another $100 into it. But I figure its more worth the $900 if everything works good to great.

Damn man, I so wish you were closer to me! I would buy that bike in a heartbeat! I have a semi-built 250 4-stroker that I ride on the trails up here, but I want something that rips on the top end to take to the dunes! Looks like a damn fine bike, even tho it is a 'zuk! Haha, lol, me and my friends have this rivelry thing goin on, but I hear the 'zuks of that era are the best motors! Shit...too bad I'm in oregon! BTW...good luck!

Thats fine. I will be parked up front near the MX "practice" track in a 97 Chevy 4x4 dually (green) The bike will be sitting in next to my truck. You can't miss it, there's not alot of 82 RM's out at the track!
