Follow this link to someone who has designed a research/expedition version of a highly modified Unimog.

Completely useless for my area (even though I did see one coming out of NYC the other day), but it would be fun as hell.

Could you see how awesome a wagon style hummer body would look mated to a Mog frame? Then modify/remove the drivetrain tunnel from the body so that you can fit either; a 3 person bench with 2 bucket seats on either side, or 4 bucket seats wide with 3 rows. Or remover the rear row and have a folding middle row so you could seat 8 or seat 4 with a bed in back.

I like the low-rider nerf bars.....looks like they would work perfect to get you hung up on anything and everything hangin that low........

I WANT ONE

Saw one similar to this (much smaller budget) in Zion while traveling. These are great. I'll take one and bring the whole shop in the trailer.

Have puter, will travel.

that thing was at the MOMA here in NYC last year.....actually pretty impressive...everything built from stainless steel

it was on display in a design exibition as a long range expedition rig.

like some sick 4wd motorhome.
