Does anyone know if this is the guy who makes the plates to go on the back of stock t-case. I first saw this plate on the write up Morgan Fletcher did about Mudrak putting the 203 doubler and some other stuff on his 55. It seems to go from the cone mount to the output housong just behind e-brake. Is it a nedded item or is it overkill?

Pardi has made t-case savers like the one you described. (plate style along the back of the t/c).
Im pretty sure this is his e-mail addy
pardi@d-web.com

Or get ahold of Georg(orangefj45) im sure he has contact info if the one above is no good.( or maybe someone else here?) Been a while since I have talked with John.

John has been making the adapter plate that goes between an sm420 and a 3 speed Transfer case(have one on my fj40.) He was having them made from aluminum for several years then last year started having them made from steel plate. As far as I know, I don't think he is making one for the 203 nor do I know if he makes the T-case saver. Don was making the T saver for ever until JToutfitters took it away.

I don't run the Pardi saver, looked at the size and the price and decided it was a bit much. I do run the Amway-type saver on top and a REAL beefy skidplate.

IMO, a GOOD full coverage skidplate is critical to t-case survival. My 72 case survived fine where my pinion snapped on Pritchett...keeping those "incidental" shocks off the case is the key.

You mean "Anway" as in Don Anway, AKA Reddog on POR. I know Don was making them until evil jtoutfitters copied the design and started selling cheap knockoffs on ebay.... There was a long post about this a couple of years ago where jtoutfitters would not even answer Don Anway's email. I have not bought anything from jtoutfitters and don't ever plan to buy any of their crap.

disclaimer: not affliated with any vendor.

oops...Anway...and it's Reddog, not Maddog (tho, I recall he was plenty irritated at JTO!)

Mine IS an Anway original...none of this takeoff crap!

reddog aka don anway just had hip-replacement surgery and isn't into cruisers that much right now anyways.
john pardi's e-mail address is correct; his plate kicks ass. i have run them both (reddog and pardi's) and they work. i have also copied pardi's design with success. pretty trick little way to handle it.
and if you want to go super-beefey, do a combination of both. i've done that and it works great. total overkill, but what the hell, right?!

Whooaaa ! Wait a minute Georg, don't write me off just yet !

My Cruiser is still my number one toy, I just can't get into it right now :D

As soon as I learn how to walk again I'll be back on the trail, This hip thing is just a minor setback. :)

FC187 is another person who can fabricate a nice case reinforcement plate. He had an awesome setup on his earlier version of his FJ55. I'm not sure what he's doing these days but he was working for Grady's Extreme in Sacramento.

BTW, that thing about selling my Cruiser...that was a momentary lapse of reason :shaking:

Phew, Don! I thought it must have been a mixture of pain medication being washed down with some work product you had laying around :D Had me scared for a moment there. You'll be out on the trail with us in no time.

righton, reddog has returned from major lurk mode! glad to hear from you don. hope you're recouping. you're back home in alpine, right?!

as for fc187, he did some work on my house this weekend and then we screwed around on my bridgeport on a part of his. he no longer works for grady and is doing his own thing. his computer is no more, so if you need him, get a hold of me and i'll put you in touch with him.
