The bottom ledge is completly gone, so anthing shorter than a CJ7 makes for an exciting and LONG drop! That was his dad riding in the passenger seat. The first time out for him (and probably last....). Jayson also tested his exocage on Little Blue later in the day, again with his dad riding and his wife in the back seat......

that one worked for me. just copy and paste the addy and if that doesnt work, just leave everything in the addy up to "misc_2001". then you can view a file manager type of list. Then just look for the jayson3_med.jpg file.

Looks like Jayson put on quite a show for everybody - who the hell was spotting him on Little Blue??:eek:

I tore my upper link mount loose on the waterfall, although I did climb it:D Bugs all worked out now on the rear & looking to improve the front suspension.
(BTW, 1.9L's only came in Jetta's, silly Rabbit):)

Xcuse me, those VW's all look the same to me.... (especially when you take away the tire, axles, frame, body, etc......)

Sorry folks, if a bunch of people hit the web site in a short time it will go 'unavailable'. I'm using free hosting, and I've got a lot of big pictures that exceede my alloted bandwith fairly quickly when several people start downloading...

But, being the 'newbie' that I am, I'm not allowed to post pictures.....

Jayson (Summers that is) is in the process of doing like you did and chopping the rear off. He's got a set of 36's in the Garage waiting on a little more wheelbase. He is also getting rid of the dreaded birfields, with a Toy/D44 outers hybrid axle that Mark Hansen built. That, and his dual case (203 to D300) setup should make for an interesting beats....

Oh yes, I was spotting him on Little Blue. I was also taking pictures, so that kinda makes for a conflict of interest.....("yea, just bump it a little, it might go"... "smile"). It was his first time out with the new cage, it need to be tested!

FWIW, I have the ONLY VW 1.9L N/A diesel Samurai on record ;)
(notice the N/A guys - that means naturally-aspirated I.E. no turbo)


It's not that newbies can't post pictures - you gotta cough up a membership fee ($20) & get a red star like Fatkid to directly post pictures.
