Not to feed his ego:rolleyes:  ....

BigRedfj40's motor is SWEET. Sounds great, tons of power (yes- in an 2F!!) and seems to be really reliable- no overheating BS or any of that crap.

In the long run, a crate 350 might still be less $$$- what do you think chris?

If you are going to stay toyota, and want the weight and low end of the 2F- his set up is a great way to go.

O.K. let's have 'em, how much stroke vs. stock, what rods, piston pin location, block clearance, THE WORKS !!

Where would you find a stroker crank for a 2F? It's nothing like a turned down 292 crank is it?

OK, Here goes:

The Block is bored .40 over, pistons are Sealed Power flat top, the crank was turned .10 under stock, the head was decked to min. tolerences for max. compression, the head is ported, 3 angle valvejob, intake is ported and poished, cam was changed to a Clifford "medium grind" RV cam, everthing in the head is stainless, Weber 38 DGAS carb, man a fre header, Thrush turbo tube welded directly to the header flange, the rest is 2 1/2" all the way back and dumps in the stock location behind the drivers side rear tire.

As Rabid can attest to, the truck has some snot to it. I still get decent milage on the highway, Toyota reliablity, and it sounds great! Is it worth it compared to a SB Chevy.......in my oppinon YES. About the only thing I would change is I would ditch the carb and go EFI.

Now wait, has your crank been offset ground? Or just turned down? And do you have the PN# of those pistons, cost? How much was the head decked??? How is your low end now???

Cha', it isn't stroked unless the crank, rods, and pistons (or pin location) were changed dramatically :p

Absolutely,
Although you do not have to change the rods when stroking an engine (but it is usually done)
a buddy of mine took a 351 and by offset grinding the crank, w/different pistions and rods was able to get 426 cubic inches out of it. Smokin motor!!!!

O.K., does anyone have info on a STROKED crank for a 2F? I still like hearing 2F hot rod improvments, but I need to know about stroker combos.

I guess they don't exist
