i'm trying to wire up some led tail lights..
i have 3 wires,
green - brake light switch
greenblue - left turn signal
greenred - parking lights

i'm using a 3 function led
red - stop/turn signal
black - tail light
white - ground

so when i hook them up with 2 on the red wire i have problems with the brake and signal. the signal stops. the light gos black.

the blinker also blinks like crazy. twice the speed as it should, like there is a dead bulb.
any help would be appreciated. i've tried that damned search feature but i'm not finding what i need.

Well dunno if this will help , On my tacoma I have the three function setup , to convert to oval trailer lights that are two function I used a trailer converter spliced into the factory harness . I then tapped the lights into the output of the converter . Works perfect and I even have trailer hookups as well .

that did the trick. works like a champ. Now how can i slowww down the blink rate? its wayy to fast. althought i was behind a f350 with a truck box and led tail lights..the blinker was fast like mine, but i'd prefer a slower blinker. I read somewhere that theres something i can put in the line to slow it down, but i can't find the thread again.

thanks alot for the quick repsonse.

I used a two prong electronic flasher from pep boys on my Jeep. $12, worked perfect and no other mods were necessary.
