to give you some background i drive a 91 yj with an nv3550, 231, 60 rear and 44 front.
Anyway, on my way to school the last couple of days i have been getting this clunk, it seems to be getting louder the more i drive it. earlier today i was letting the jeep drive itself around while i hung onto the back bumper with my feet on the axle tubes, and i could feel a good clunk through my feet. i also saw that it clunked about once with every revolution of the driveline which leads me to believe that my problem is occuring before the power gets geared down by my d60. anyway, my rear u joint had a lot of play in it so i put a new one in, so i know its not that. because my d60 is has flaoting hubs with newer wheel bearings, i doubt that is where my problem is at. I have an early style slip yoke eliminator kit in the transfer case.
I have to get to work tomarrow morning, so i need to get this figured out. i dont feel like taking the t case out right now unless i have to, being that it is friday night and i have to try out my new ID. any help is greatly appreciated.
