OK; take me by the hand and tell me how to install the disc conversion on a FF 60 series. Andre?

Will the TSM kit work? What type of calipers? Thinking El Dorado with p brake but can i use 80 series with an 80 series internal P brake? Any reason I cant use all 80 series parts? I think the FF is more or less the same.

The LSPV. How to best bypass it Smtybilt? TorenadoAlleyCruiser? Time is short for BHCC and cant fuck around.

I did the FF disc swap on my 62. I used Downeys brackets, Monte Carlo calipers, and a 97 FZJ80 master. They told me there was a slight difference in mounting holes. They were cheap enough though. I would go Eldorado caliper for the e-brake now though. I am using an elec e-brake but am not totally happy. I did remove the LSPV and use a proportioning valve. Looking back, I don't believe the proportioning valve is even necessary. I have adjusted mine all the way in, or wide open and its been that way for a year. New style master seems to be the answer.

What discs did you get, and was there any machining necessary to fit them onto the FF hubs?

Hey Dave I would go with the TSM kit talked to the main guy up there, cant remember his name at this minute but he said that they have a kit for the FF 60 axles the bracket is the only thing that is different.
And from my research when I bought it is they are the cheapest for what you get, unless you go junk yard parts. You can how ever buy your calipers and pads and such from AutoZone and save a few bucks.

P.S. Shoot me a PM on how much you want for those push rods for the 3FE I am going to need them for Coal Miners Cruiser Classic in July.

Yes, the brackets are the only difference.

I shot TSM an e mail to get a price on the FF kit. I think I may still look into the 80 series stuff.

Gary, what type of proporting valve did you use? Wildwood?

It may be a good idea to stick with the stock LSPV, if it can adjust enough for disc brakes. Since they take more pressure to work, just set it so it "thinks" you're more fat in the back so it'll send that extra pressure back there. Just a thought. I haven't dicked around much with it, and won't until I do the conversion myself.

I did use the Wildwood but at this point, I don't think its needed at all.

Dave I agree with the no LSPV call, I took mine out and did not use a proportioning valve and no problems and my truck is much lighter in the back.

I would just take out he LSPV and let it go you will be very happy.

Cam, Did you keep the stock MC or go with an 80 MC? I would think a mid model 80 ould be about perfect, Workes for Gary
