Now where do you all think the best location for a steering stabalizer would be? Also, that tubing is 1.5" OD... so what would be the best way to mount the SS to it, clamp or weld some tabs onto one of the links?

One place i was considering was to mount it to the top of the trackbar relocation brracket I made and the attaching it to the DL. Good or bad idea? Also, Whats a good brand steering stabalizer to get for this?

Thanks,

What the hell do ya need a steering stabalizer for?

Run it like it is, if there are vibs or wierd shit happening, then fix the problem, dont cover it up with a sideways shock.

Steering stabalizer = bandaid for steering problems.

Agreed, if you need a S/S you have other stuff to fix, plus they're just rock draggers and steering stoppers. Put a nice dent in one and see how fast it comes off.

Nope.. wasnt getting it to cover up issues. Even though I have DW right now, but its castor related and new LCA are getting ordered tomorrow. I'm just thinkin of it for road manners since I'll be putting 35's on in a week or two. Kinda nice to be on the highway and not having to hold on to the steering wheel so much for the small bumbs and cracks in the road.

Get two bolts that fit your steering stabilizer. Use two 1.5" exhaust u-bolts to build a plate with one bolt on it to put on tie rod, and then weld the other bolt to the top of your diff cover. Works like a charm, and it's above the tie rod so no worries about rocks.

hmmmmm. Sounds reasonable.... now I just gotta learn to weld to Cast, never done that before

Weld the bolt to the diff cover(part that bolts to the axle), not the diff(part that is the center of the axle).

Nothing wrong with running a steering stabilizer to dampen vibrations at hiway speeds. This is where my SS is right now. I tried different locations but this is where I found it to be the most effective on my set-up, I am running radius LAs.
