I'm working on a new frame for my cj 5. I have finally went to a soa setup on it. I have move the spring mounts around to gain some wheelbase in the front and rear. The spring pads I'm using have a extra set of holes in them. What kind of problems would I get into by using the extra set of holes to move the axles out a few more inches?

None, just watch your steering geometry, driveshaft lengths, and brake lines.

I welded mine to the top of the perch. Figure it would be better than spitting it out at some point. As I have heard this happen. Dennis

I have been doing this for years with no problems.
Just redrill the spring plate center pin hole to match.

You welded your leaf springs to the perch? Am I reading that wrong?

I think KJJ10 is referring to some shims/wedges placed between the perch and spring to correct the angles....I think he had too many  's before posting....LOL
