i want to use those on my 78 HP44 but the previous owner converted it to 5 lug.. and in the auction the dude says "These are for 8 bolt rotors. Will not work with F150 rotors."
am i simply not able to use them? or I'll be O.K. because its an axle off an F-250?
thanks.

You can use those, you just have to use your 5 lug spindles out

Can you expand on this?
Sure, it you use custom calipers and caliper bracket...but not with stock parts.
If your using any stock (OEM) 1/2 ton calipers system it will not clear knuckles.

I did not have to do anything on a set I did for a guy, Just used F250 kunckles and 1/2 everything else, I did not have to grind on anything.
Unsure what year the kunckle were from, just a f250 from the junk yard

Well your at least one up on me then.
However I've talked to two people who tried it and said it didn't work. Also with how close the caliper is to the F150 knuckle I can't see how it would fit.
I'd like to learn more, if this is do-able. Can you get pics?

glad to see it was usefull for someone else.. the nice ford ones (ready to go) don't show up too often.
after i get it and start the swap I will let you guys know (with pics) how it works out and what the issues are.

Take plenty of pics....
My money is on the stock parts will not fit, the caliper will hit the knuckle and not even be close.

Well did you ever get it to work out. I have 79 flat tops and half ton rotors/ spindle. And want to know if you got the caliper to fit.

Run a search on my name and you'll get more info on what happened to my knuckle setup..
Don't/Won't/Can't work, not even with supercab knuckles.
I'm just ditching the whole idea - selling my high-steer stuff. Just going to run regular cross-over..
