What I need to know is if a 86 Comanchee has a D35 in it and if the parts can be stripped to keep my 88 YJ D35 running long enough to get the cash for a swap? Would the gears likely be 3.07? no one around here seems to know and I would hate to waste a day going to check it out if it wont work.
Thanks guys

it could, most had the 35. a few with a towing package came with the 44. if it is the 35, it will be non c-clip and WILL work with the 88 non c-clip. it will not work on anything after, i think, 90, 91?

I could be wrong but I dont think they started using the Dana 35 untill 87, the only thing I can think of is that its a 44.

if it's the 'Metric Tonne' model, it has the 44, but they're very hard to find:rasta:

Not all of them. I caught a "Metric Tonne" model with a D35 a few times. You know Jeep and their reputation for consistency...
