Tried this in the noob section because it's a pretty weak tech question but no help there. I have an '01 Chevy 1500 and it's my daily/tow rig. Doesn't tow too often but I want to make it as solid as possible with what it has (4l60 and 10 bolt :shaking: ) I have an external cooler to throw on but I don't have the directions any more and I need to know which port @ the radiator to tap into. Just want to check before I go cutting.

So no one has put an external cooler on an '01 huh? Anyone put one on a Chevy back to mid 80's? I'm guessing they wouldn't all of the sudden make it so you use the top instead of bottom or vise versa.

Don't know which one it would be at the radiator, but its the bottom one on the trans.
