Well I ordered a new front shaft from Gloeco ,Arizona drivelines ,etc they have many names . It was ordered around the first of May it was supposed to ship on the 17th I called to confirm and it wasn't ready it would be the 24th now. UPS says it takes 3 days to ship I got it on June 2nd . I went to put it in today and both flanges were small samurai flanges . I have large on the tcase and toy diffs . So it is back on the UPS truck heading for Az for $20 which is another thing that pisses me off is they charged me $45 to ship it .If your in the market for a new shaft I would think twice before going here you might be the one getting the shaft all right . I was really looking forward to wheeling this weekend haven't been since Nov last year . Oh well I guess I'll go watch nueroc at the badlands tomorrow instead .

The exact same thing has happened to me the last two times I have had shafts repaired/made. Luckily I am local. I tried taking my business elsewhere but they used some oddball sized pipe on one of my shafts so the other shops wanted to charge me to buy a 20ft piece of the stuff for a simple lengthening. Our club is investigating a source for the driveline parts to build our own shafts. The only thing we couldn't do is balance them which I quit doing anyway.

The saga continues UPS lost my driveshaft , gloeco can't find where I ordered a shaft from them luckily I have the packing slip and insurance on the shaft . Zookimelt is only 4 weeks away it took 4 weeks to get the last shaft that was wrong . Things aren't looking good for me at all this really sucks .

The female slip spline that they use is Neapco part number 53-2415. It requires a 2.25"x.120" wall tube. I spoke to Neapco right after I bought my Driveshafts from AZ drivelines a couple of years ago, and they confirmed that they are the supplier of these parts to them. Its on page 56 of this catalog if you type it at the bottom.

Youd be amazed at how cheap the stuff is to buy if you have a jobber account. Any Carquest can get it, probably napa also.
Hope this helps.

Beware of certain driveline company in Arizona they go by several differant names . They have stiffed me with a bill that was not authorized by me or my card company and have told me on 2 occasions they were going to credit my account but have neglected to do so . They screwed up and charged me to fix it and now when I call about this issue they tell me the boss is gone . :mad3: . I guess they figure since I live hundreds of miles away they can do what ever they want . Just a fore warning for those looking to buy a new driveline .

why didn't you just change the flange ( a toy one will fit the large ujoint on aftermarket shafts) at the rearend and re drill the transfercase flange???? its not hard?

It was a new shaft that i special ordered with flanges to fit my truck why in the hell would I change the flanges . When you go to burger king and order a whopper and you get a fish sandwhich do you go home and cook a hamburger . Why would I spend almost $400 on a shaft that I have to modify I ordered it with flanges that would bot right up why would I want to redrill flanges . They fixed the flanges but charged me for their fuck up and told me they didn't . Now maybe you like being screwed over but I don't!!
