MATRiX rim questions [Archive]

Hey can anyone tell me the difference between the Matrix 550 and 750 rims?
I've got a set of 550s with disc brakes on a TREK 4300, and a set of 750s with the old scrub brakes on my TREK 4500. Is there much difference in the rims? and if I do swap them to get the disc brakes on my 4500, can I swap out the bendix? the 4300 has a noisey clicker, and my 4500 is silent.
I really like the disc breaks, they actully stop. any insight would be great, thank you.
