I'm new to the Bronco world and need to know the best lift (company) for a 79.
Is it better to just 4-link the front axle rather than leave the stock control arms or do stocks work fine w/ lift?

you leave this really to be an open ended question, everyone has there preference, i would use a Dick Cepek, or skyjacker lift at second best but thats just me. the factory lift will probably do you fine if you dont know whats the difference, id be more worried about breaking those axles from the bigger tires you will be running.

dont need a lift kit for a 79. get some JBG superflex coils, shackle flip in the rear, some new brake lines, and maybe a drop pinion. go crazy and get a drop trac bar mount too. 4" lift for a couple hundred bucks.

but if you wanted a kit, i would get a bds.

Just looking to put 4-6" lift and 35's at the most. This rig will mostly be running fire roads and washouts. It's too pretty to bang up. That's what my 4runner's for.

You only need 2-3" lift to fit 35's just thought I would throw that out

I would do as mentioned above
superflex springs
new front bushing kit (you can get the C bushings to correct the caster)
drop track bar mount
Rear shackle flip
shocks and brake lines

I would stay away from most of the kits as many of them are more expensive or the front springs are very stiff.

if you have the money or fab skills I would also buy/build a set of extended front radius arms to give a more plush ride and more flex. It may not perform quite as well as a four link but will still flex like mad and give a nicer ride then stock radius arms.

Get a set of coils out of a stock E350 van from the 80's. They are about 3" taller than the ones in the Bronco. Stick an add-a-leaf in the back and call it good. You'll be able to run 35s. The cheaper route would be to cut the front buckets off, move them down 4" and drill and bolt them in place. For the back, shackle flip. You'll gain about 4" this way and not be out any money.
