Whats involved in modifying a wag 44 to get 31" spring perch width? (for a spring over)

I've got waggy axles under my yj ......

If I am not mistaken, the waggy axles ARE 31 inch width, I had to bring each perch in 1/2 inch to fit my YJs 30 inch width..

I have a YJ dana 30 in my truck right now, and its 31" spring perch width. I was asking because I know there are some centersection modifications that need to be done before doing a spring over on these axles

I just ground down the area beside pumkin, and used a 1/2 thick piece of steel for a spring pad, drilled a hole for the centering pin and welded it on with some stainless steel rod. I ground the area flat and kept checking the angle with an angle finder to keep the caster correct.
This is on my CJ-7, so I had to move the springs out side the frame rails, but other than the grinding and measuring and grinding and remeasuring, and measuring,;) ,it wssnt too bad.
Good luck.

Waggies are 31-1/2" spring width. Since you're going SOA just move each in 1/4" to get it to 30.
