: Are there 1/4e springs that can support the weight of a ZJ?

The biggest I've seen with 1/4e is a Early Bronco, I'm just contemplating my rear suspension options and figure if 1/4e can't support the weight there's no use in ever pursuing it. What do you all think, also what about 1/4e on a unibody? Anyone ever heard of this?

You can make a 1/4e spring pack to support just about any vehicle. I have also thought about swapping to 1/4e after I retire the ZJ from daily duties. I would make a subframe that would hold the long arms in front and the 1/4e spring plates in the rear.

I think what I'm gonna do is make the long arm set up and when my jeep gets really fucked, when I'm making the rear long arm leave a place where I can mount the 1/4e. Eventually go 1/4e rear and coilovers front or just regular coils but I think 1/4e rear with coils in the front would be really well ballanced. I dunno exactly what I want to do but I think it can be done and would be very cool, just hope a 1/4e spring pack is WAY cheaper than coilovers.

We used 99' F-350 rear springs on my buddies 1/4e rear on his scout , worked out beautifully. I believe they are 3 or 3.5 inches wide. It should support your ZJ just fine. He got the springs for free cause his Offroad club prez is the service manager at a ford dealership. Go to bone yard and pull some. Probably get them for about 50-75 bucks.
