150 to 250 tops unless it has a locker and some good gears as in 4.56 and lower. make sure its a 35 spline axle.

just pop a axle out shouldn't take more than ten min. and check the spline count. its real hard to find a locker for anything other than a 35 count

Ok...I have a 70 out back and I've been looking at the spyders and they are pretty beefy.
What kind of rod should you use to weld up the spyders?

If I was going to ruin a good set of gears I would use 6018 and get busy but I realy don't like to see this done just my 2 cents worth. Jim Aka Wilseya

Uhhh - you dont weld the r&p gears up - you weld the spiders and carrier. You're r&p gears remain untouched.

ROTFL That would be interresting to see him try to drive it after doing this. I wonder what would break first. We could get a book going and take bets. :D

Is this the new parking brake? :flipoff2: Is it easier to install that Jesse's E-brake setup? How much does it cost? Will it void my warranty? :D :flipoff2:

I doubt that that is what Jim meant (welding R&P) I'm sure it was a jumbled typo. I know him , and he is very knowledgeable.

PS. Jim you'll have to come by , and check out all the NEW stuff in my shop ( every machine has been replaced except one, and I just finished my rolling bender cart for JD2 model 4 all hydro!!! sweet bender.)It was a very very good 2001 business year.

another ps- If you need to do the gears in that D70 I have an OTC Dana case spreader you can use.
