Does the owner live in Austin?


The new owner does. He bought it from the person who built it, who was from TN I beleive.

It now has 300M shafts, 44" TSLs, and 37" Krawlers from when he entered it in Calrocks. Now the owner has a buggy too that's entered in Calrocks.

His name is ROKN ZJ on PBB. Here's a more recent picture of it....

The rear shocks were on in a way that the tires would rub on them when stuffing, both shocks snapped within a couple hundred yards of each other and it provided for some interesting action through the rest of the day.

you got anymore pics of your setup and trimming w/ 5.5" and 35's. I will be adding spacers to get 5.5" onto my ZJ and wanna get some idea of how much cutting I'll be doing.

i don't have any detailed pics of the trimming but its pretty simple..i just trimed to the first bend of the fenders in the front. I also had to grind down the pinch seams or what ever in the inner well near the doors..And i cut the side bumper mounts off and pound in the rear section of the bumper or near the front of the fender wells. with all the done i get perfect clearence... do u have adj. control arms? those will help alot. i'll get some pics in a sec.

ST - thanks for the compliments! I was really excited with the way it turned out! here's the best pic of the radius arm that I have right now, which shows how i made them pretty good. 2.5" RE Superflex joint welded to some stock that was necked down and threaded to mate to the 2.5" 1/4" wall tube that was tapped and welded to the end of the radius arm. You can also see how it was wristed. I am sure there are other ways to do this, but I did it this way since I had the tube leftover from the rear arms and it matched the way the rears were done. good luck with your project.....

Here is our shop ZJ on Airock, Swayloc and U-turn...and a couple steroids. I would really like to send a thanks out to Steve from ORO and KEV from Bulltear and MN-jeep. :victory: We had talked about this project for a while and when it finally started I was leary of letting the shop ZJ get a lift and tires.... this is a daily driver for me and also a means to meet with customers and handle prototype shipping. I have to admit all the hard work was done mostly by Steve with Kev next in line and me being soo busy with business and constantly running around I only had time to help with the disassembly of the stock parts and drilling a few holes (I also popped my shoulder out of socket working on this).....thanks guys! The nice part about this is that we will be able to tow more weight (once the dana 60's are in) and it is a great on road drivable lift as well as a flexible off road suspension with the push of a button. I am not used to this at all coming from a history of over-built CJ jeeps with huge leaf springs, hi-hp motors and monstrous tires. This Jeep handles almost like it did before any lift besides the tires humming...MTR's SUCK on the road. Anyways here are some shots. We have a dana 60 rear with disks already built and ready to install but wont see this jeep untill mid summer along with a updated front axle.....updates to follow and bigger tires as well :yeah:

Here are a few pics of H3RESQ's old WJ. It has a RK long arm, Atlas and a rear 9" all sitting on 37" Krawlers. We were about to do a set of Spider 9s and coil-overs front and rear for it when somebody from SoCal (who saw it on the intardnet) called up and offered cash for it.

It worked really good, hated to see it go....

and those 37''s were inspiration for me to put 37''s on mine. def not as nice as h3's though ---nevermind the beer between the seats-oops

here's my new part time driver. RE 4.5" LA kit with 2" spacers, swapped in 231, non disco Hp30, D35 w/ lockright. Just got it a week ago, no weeling pics yet, just some poser shots to make sure the driveshafts didnt' bind and the brake lines were long enough (which they're not!)

And it's getting a ruffstuff front 9" to match the rear 9", should be a reliable setup all said and done!

My 5.9 is Locked front and rear with 4.56gears and deep water capable. The locals think is pretty BA. But it falls short of most of yours. I have 8 flex joint control arms but I still lack the long arm.. Work in progress, as always.

Dude, WTF does this prove with the spring hanging waaaay out of the upper mount?

I don’t have as many pictures as I would like especially when we were building it, because of that there is not a build thread. But here is the 97 my dad and I built for him a while back.
It’s taken a beating over the years.

Specs are Chevy 60 with arb, 14 bolt with mini spool, full hydro, hydro boost brakes, 3 link front with 14” 2.5 air shocks, four link rear with 16” 2.5 air shocks, Atlas 4.3.

The rear chop still needs a lot of work. My add kicked in and got bored with it so I moved to the front and started getting the 60 in.

I guess I'll update this, got the 60 in just waiting on brake lines, cuttin brakes and quite a few random parts. The wheelbase ended up at about 115" and its 29" to the bottom of the front bumper ~73" to the roofline.

I still got to do some trimming and change the bumper around which I planned to do anyways.

94 limited. 5.2 42rh, atlas 3.8, 40spline 9in rear Mosler axles and strange third, spooled, 4.88s, hp44front 300m shafts, Ctm joints ford radius arms grizzly locker front high steer. Double triangulated 4link rear 16in race runner coil overs. 37 14.50 Toyos. Exo 1"5/8 .120 Dom.

Bought the rig about 3months ago and have since been wheeling about every other weekend and have done a bunch of upgrades. 40spline 9pm and the SAW coilovers are my personal favorites. Looking to go coil overs in the front in the future. And hydro steering.

^ I absolutely LOVE the dove nose on that. Wish I would've done that when I built my front fenders. We're sitting about the same height and setup (other than your rear 14b and my 9")
