Extensions? Tranny adapters? What else? And I want pics........
Over the weekend I built this to increase the lift height of my floor jack:

Sorry for the blurry pic, I plan to get better pics later (it even uses old D44 parts LOL).
But the second this thing was complete we found out it was extremely handy... not only can you get the truck higher, but the channel holds axle tubes without letting them roll out. Later we used it to position a bumper, and again it holds the bumper far better than a standard jack saddle would.
I'm contemplating a small forklift contraption for the jack, two blades on either side that just touch the ground, slide it under something wide (like a complete axle) and jack away.
Yes, of course you need to be aware of the limitations of your jack, esp stability, but the stock saddles suck for a lot of things. A little creativity can make your jack a lot more versatile.
