Kelly O'Connor 01-18-2002, 06:57 AM In a word, AWESOME. Now you are really torturing me as I won't be getting any sleep thinking about your rig.
rugburn 01-18-2002, 07:05 AM Jesse,
How tight is the fit between the disc brake and the floor boards under the cruiser???
That's my biggest concern on running the kit from ya.
Can you get a shot of the rear spring hangers? They almost look like they are recessed into the frame. What springs are those?
onetoncv 01-18-2002, 08:45 AM spring pics down loading now- the dana 300 on the floor board is tight unless you have a 2" body lift or don't mind makin a pocket like erik did- and heres the atlas brake pic-:D
onetoncv 01-18-2002, 09:02 AM okay the rear springs - i beleive there bronco-or f-150 's they are just damn workin well! :D
onetoncv 01-18-2002, 09:03 AM here's my attempt to keep up- and maybe a bit of 150 fogger and crossing my fingers and such- Jess:D

The clearance between the caliper and the tranny hump was pretty tight but it fit. I actually did a little hammer work on the tunnel for more clearance, didn't have to but it made me feel better. Mine was actually a worst case situation, because my case is as far back as it can go with out having to modify the floor, so it should fit on just about anything else.

The rear springs are recessed about half way into the frame and then plated so that the bottom of the frame is smooth up to the spring. This prevents getting hung up on the tumor-like stock hangers on the side of the frame. The springs are off of a mid-80's Bronco.
Hey Frosty, thanks for pointing out the front bumper, and yes a new one is under construction. Still I think "looks like ASS" is a little harsh.:flipoff2: :D

Ya, I know, I was wonderin' when someone was gonna point that out. It's been that way since I bought the 'cruiser, and I like it that way.
So did you center your springs under the frame? How did you attach the shackle hanger. Can you get some more pics of the spring hanger and shackle hanger?
I need to move my springs again (F150s) and I was thinking of moving them under the frame like yours. I think I have to put the shackle hanger on the rear bumper.
Donald Butcher 01-19-2002, 09:52 AM where did you get that e brake kit? and how much does it cost? What is involved in putting it in? I like :)
 :usa:
Donald
onetoncv 01-20-2002, 07:49 PM i make the kits - for most t-cases , its about 15 minutes to actually install it and a few more the the cable to attach - pricing is 289.00 of the rotor and caliper and brackets- then you need to run a one ton c/v - give me a ring or check out the site for more info- click on the link below-Jess 530-877-2875

I ran the springs directly under the frame, they follow the taper in the frame so they are not paralell to each other. The shackle hanger is pretty standard, attaches to the bottom of the frame rail almost at the rear crossmember. This pushed the rear axle back about 4". I'll see what I can do about some more pics.
I would appreciate that. Thanks.
Mr McGee 01-27-2002, 10:50 AM What kind of radiator is that and who makes it? Also, how hot does she run? Sweet cruiser--keep it up
onetoncv 01-27-2002, 08:13 PM i think its a griffen - there about 175.00$ range and work well for coolong 2 core type 1" tubes - the only way to go for tight radiator problems and cooling needs like the 454 will need- eatin my snow !!!!!hehe :D - come awn i'm just kiddin eric you will kik my butt i'm sure but we have to do it anyways- Jess
RustyNailJustin 01-27-2002, 08:29 PM Looking pretty sweet!!! For sure Dig the brakes
EricFJ40 01-27-2002, 09:07 PM The radiator is a Howe, it was about $200 to my door from Summit. Got to take it for it's first wheeling trip with the new motor today. It ran about 200 most of the time, if I really pushed it hard for a long time it would creep up to about 230-240, but as soon as I backed off it started to cool down. I think if I put a shroud on it I should be fine. The biggest bummer though was that something flexed and the fan came up and bit one of the tubes, so now I have to pull it and get it fixed:(
onetoncv 01-27-2002, 09:30 PM so were running good now i take it- damn sweet- had a few minor issues and maybe she's operating to fullest now? ah damn- can't wait to chase ya man-! Jess
Have you had time to get the pics of the rear spring and shackle hangers yet? I am still planning on how I am going to move my springs again. Thanks.
EricFJ40 01-28-2002, 08:46 AM I'll see if I can borrow the digi cam this week and get those pics up for you. I've just been busting ass trying to get it running the last couple weeks.
Thanks. Don't let me slow you down. Get it running.
onetoncv 01-28-2002, 11:06 PM don't worry about eric gettin it done - he will - the guy is truly a cruzer guru on his mods! wish i had 1/2 of his idea's and knowledge on suspension stuff- now why did the fan bite the radiator? lets get this part done with-Jess
