thought I'd share, I built my front end and the first time I put in seals it was a bitch! Ended up destroying 3 of em and the ones that I ended up leaving in were sorta messed up and lasted about 2000 miles and that's it, probably like 100 of that actually in 4wd. Last time I used a pipe through the tube and cut a piece of plate that fit the size of the seal - but the seal doesn't have a flat surface so it didn't work so well. I have hear people using a large socket too but I decided to use something made to do it..

Anyway, I saw this cool tool and decided to buy it - it was worth it..

picture is actually missing a piece, a small piece of tube in front of the nut before the other sliding part (which is shown backwords for how I used it), it kept the whole tool from moving when tightening the nut. All in all it worked great!

For seals, I use a socket that is slightly smaller than the OD of the seal. Put an extension on it backwards and tap it in with a dead blow. Works for me.

true dat but this keeps it square and for some reason I had a bitch of a time getting it to stay square.
