Guys,
Have any info on relocating gas tank from under seat to under vehicle, possibly in the rear? Aftermarket tanks available or can I make the original fit?

Most aftermarket kits are pretty pricey, I have the NWMP tank under the tub and like it mostly. It is the tank that Downey sells, MAF makes one as well. The plumbing might be a pain if you need to have smog vent lines. The only drawback I have is that there is not pickup tube, the gas just gravity flows out of the front right corner of the tank. This is not a problem unless you are climbing a steep hill with a close to empty fuel tank. I might have a fuel starvation problem compounding a float bowl problem running at steep inclines, don't know if it is worse with aux tank but i have to suppect it is. Just cruising most roads or trails that aren't very steep it is nice to have the added range and added storage room in the cab.
I heard that junkyard ranger or sami tanks work as well, try searching as there was something on here a month or so ago.

bolt or weld. depends on your fab abilities as to how much of a PITA it will be.. Get a tank, stare at the places to mount it.. A skid plate mount would work or strap it up under the tub. I think I used exhast pipe flex mounts on my last under tub tank mount. I'll be pulling my tank shortly to notch it so someday I can flip the rear springs.

Click here (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/private.php?do=newpm&userid=23362) and help me get some parts out of the yard :D. The tank isn't mine but I know it is for sale. Confer style, mounts under bed between frame rails, has all mounting hardware plus skid plate. No sender, tank has a small dent...
