mine feels alot quicker that is was before....
and it also seems like i always have to take alittle back out of every corner, (ie... turning left...to much, some right...to much, alittle left.....)
don't have bump steer, just alittle jerfy at times
thinking about how to describe it made me remember when i was driving around with one rear tire @ 25psi and the other @10psi. and with a detoit locker this will yank your front end around for what seems to be for no real reason.....(it's the locker, locking and unlocking) :rasta:

Mine feels like the front is extra light. First impression was a overloaded pickup truck where the front wheels didn't have much weight on them. Other than that once you get used to it it works fine.

Mine feels like it has a "slack" spot in the middle when I'm at speed such as in a sand wash or on a gravel road. Over all I like it though.

The key is to not go to big on the ram. 1.5" is plenty. I did the math on a 1' ram @ 1100 psi and it will give you 972lbs of push and near 750 of pull with a 1/2" rod so how much help do you need is the question. I run a 2" ram and it is slow but for the trail it works just fine. Without it I would not be able to turn if the ARB was in. Trust me I have tried it and it didn't turn:D I even pulled out the pump and put in a new one but it didn't help until I put the ram on:(

Also add that on the street and in a panic situation a bigger Ram will take longer to pressure up to react to what input your giving it at the wheel. I opted for a smaller ram for now. If my truck become a trailer queen then I'll consider upgrading to a larger ram.

Where (outside of Howe and AGR) can you get a 1.5" Ram?

I am using a 1.5"x 8" Columbus brand cyl that I got from the "surplus Center" @ 1-800-488-3407 in Lincoln,Nebraska.
They have way more stuff than Northern hydro, and have a large selection of orbital valves for the full hydro setups.
I picked my cyl because it had a shorter OAL and fit my stock cruiser axle better with it's limited space, it is only slightly larger then a stabilizer and fits nicely and works even better, plus a packing kit is only $8.95 if it starts to leak.

That was the place I was going to suggest. They 1" and 1.5" for $80 or so and they are nice and short OAL.

I bought mine from Lee MFG. in Sunvalley CA. Tom Lee is the man, great at rebuilding power steering gear boxs and pumps too, he adjusted my pump to push the ram when I had it rebuilt @1400psi/3 1/8 GPM. he'll build you any size you want he might try and make you aware of what you'll need to push it to make sure you know and or educate you about them, once he knows the ability of who hes dealing with he will deal with you at that level.
Tom Lee has been building power steering components NASCAR and Offroad racing for years and as far as I know as a great reputation and from personel expierance he stands behind his stuff.
I posted a picture of a ram that is mounted on a employees truck of his , by the way I'm new to this site, so forgive me if you guys already know of Lee MfG
