I have a DS that has a 1330 (I think, is there a way to measure and make sure?) and it needs to be changed to a 1310. I was told a could get a conversion joint. How easy is it to remove a u-joint from a DS? How do I go it? Thanks.

Just pull the retaining clips and tap on a cap with a socket. Just make sure the socket is the same size as the u-joint caps. You may have to whack the sucker good to get it out. On the 1330, the caps will be the same size as a 1310 u-joint. If it's bigger, it's prolly a 1350.

Spicer makes a U-joint that is a 1310 on one side and a 1330 on the other. The part number is "1310-1330" (or was it "1330-1310???). I run one of those in my junk. Any parts store should carry it.
