Hey...I'm getting ready to go RC 44 and a 60 under my 96' XJ and for now am going to use the F-250 frt. disc and J20 rear drums. Will my stock master cylinder have enough ass to stop this setup? What did you TJ and YJ guys use along with the fullsize brakes?:smokin:

when i was running 1/2 ton axles with disc front/drum rear i had no props with the stock master cylinder. now that i have 1 ton axles with discs front and rear all i had to do was take the rubber ring off the propotioning valve plunger. so im still running my stock master cylinder, its just modified. you should be fine as is

Running D60's front and rear W/1ton dodge disks on front and 1/2 ton GM disks on the rear. I'm still using the factory TJ master cyl. and I just did away with the proportioning valve. Can lock all 4 tires at will but the pedal is a little soft compared to the stock setup. I'll live with it until my master cyl. needs replacement then....

good...this is making me feel better about the one ton disks up front and 1/2 ton rear disks about to go in...
anyone know where i can see a write up about removing the proportioning valve seal or whatever it is???
i still want hydro boost, but sounds like it can wait.
