Flatbed

I had to drive to Southern Ohio for a job interview. On the way back, about 30 miles south of Columbus, I hear a loud pop and loose a LOT of power. I pull over and see nothing obvious under the hood. Limp into Columbus to a garage. Informed that #3 cylinder is dead, lots of bucks to fix. As I am obviously loking for a job I don't have the bucks for the repair by a shop, muck less the hotel bill to wait for it to get finished. Callrd a friend ( Launch_it ) We came to conclusion of FAWK IT the closer to Pittsburgh the cheaper the tow bill. Ran the whole way in 3rd pegged, it ran smoothest at high RPMs. Anything that looked like an incline had to take in 2nd. 3 hour trip turned into 5 hours, but the rig made it home. I have a new respect for the Toys. The wife has a Heep that has let us down on many occasions. In my limited experience I will take a Toy any day. The damn thing still runs, got me to the store and back OK.

They are tough! Almost as good as the guy who blew a hole in the side of the block then videotaped the engine running. Looked like one of them operating room videos!

I blew the #3 rod right out the side of the block and it would still start up and run. It wouldnt move without some serious RPMs though, so I towed it home. Fawker amased me. Then I dropped in a 350 and wish I had my 22R back. oh well, HP is fun too.

Hey Belly, was not going to be my daily driver, but got downsized the 3 days after a tree jumped out and got me. Lost the company truck. Fawkin truck is still going. All fluid levels are good and dummy lights on the dash ( just the dummy light in my head  ) I think this one is done between the frame and engine. Gonna have to get another open/open so I can wheel with ya again. Can you say twister boys and girls. I would love to give ya another view of my bed from the bottom  . R.I.P. the flatbed but AWWLLL BE BACK. :D
