Now that I have a DD I'm thinking of getting 33x13.5 LTB's instead of 33x12.5 TrXus. I bought 8" wheels with the intention of using a 12.5" tire.
Anybody running the LTB on an 8" wheel?
The other option is 33x12.5 TSL Radials (TrXus is out since it won't be a DD anymore).
TIA,
Andy

I've read in many other posts that the LTB doesn't wear very well on the street. This won't be a DD, but it's won't be hard core, and will be either driven or flat towed to the trail, so it looks like I'm going with the TSL Radial.

I run 33 x 13.5 LTB's on my scout. 15 x 8 rims. I got them used for $100. Can't beat that. They don't wear very well on the road, that is why I got them so cheap :D . But they are fine on the rims, helps keep the rims from rubbing and hitting.

If it's not a DD, why not just go with Boggers? I mean pretty much anything TSL makes sucks for tire wear, so just go all out!

i believe that PRICE would be the issue of getting LTBs over Boggers. :flipoff2:

Go with the LTBs, they'll fit fine on the 8" wides and they work well offroad. Unless they've changed the TSL radials are closer to a 31" in size and I was VERY unimpressed by their performance. My friend ran the LTBs and for the price they are the best tire out there. Good luck

Im running the 33" LTBs myself, and yes they suck on the pavement. I had to drive the trail rig for two weeks back and forth to work.

i have too, but i run LTBs on my toyota and i still have the little flap of rubber that goes around the tire visible on top the center tread after a few thousand miles(got them back in april). they're actually quieter and ride better than my old radial buckshots too  kinda miss that loud hum...

I run the LTB's on my DD and they wear fine and when I have to buy another set of tires, I'll get the LTB's again (just be sure to rotate at every oil change) and imo they dig better (in mud) and traction on the rocks than the TSL's
