Hey all
All right time for me to open an old discussion for a new problem I have
As many of you know because you passed me at the bottom of big sluice during the rubithon
I broke two semi-floating axles.
I am now considering a 60 series ff axle I currently run disk brakes on the rear
As well as 1-inch spacers on all fours.
Some thoughts on the pros and cons of a Toyota FF and solutions to any Problems.
Thanks Dave

Going FF will not stop the breakage..

It seems that the breakage occured on my rig when the tires were pinched inward by to angular rocks at the bottom of the the trail.
the second one broke 100 yards further up the trail and was a torqe break.
Mudraks axle broke the middle of the span of the axle and was a perfectly clean break.
This type of breakage seems more do to weight on the axle and not always torque.

Beef the studs holding the flange and it will go a long way. I pinched my FF hard this week and it held fine.
