hehehe...newbies:flipoff2: why do you need a pic of this set-up, anyway? Just look at your tank, look at your Jeeps tub, and imagine it in there...

well the search sucks:rolleyes:
and i know it won't be hard to do
just wanting to see if you people
just put it back there or built a box for it and
where did you run the filler hose.
this will be in my daily driver (TJ), and i will be cutting the
fenders and getting rid of where i used to fill it up at.
:flipoff2:

here's a shot of my TJ showing where the gas hole use to be. You can just pull your tank and plop it in the bed. The filler hoses can be cut down so it will point straight up and use the stock metal end tube and cap. Strap it down to the little hold down footman loops and call it a day. If you want to get all fancy, build a cover for it out of lumber, coat it in herculiner and take the money you get from selling your rear seat and buy some  's.

I went with an RCI 20 gal. alum. fuel cell. Mounted it 4" above floor tub, left 6" under. No big deal right?
Well I gained 9" of ground clearance, 5 gal. capacity and gave me room to move the axle back.
Plumbing it up like a TJ.
Anyway, maybe something to consider.

I cut a hole from fender to fender and 24" from the rear forward.
I raised the tank about 7" then built a new frame to support a raised bed. I also made an access panel for quick changes of the fuel pump.
The tank is mounted to 2 new cross members on the frame.
The framework for the new bed, (in the 2nd pic) is high, because I was making room to allow the body lift to be removed.

anyone ever thought about moving the tank up 2" (with a 2" body lift) and back 6-8" (to lenghten the wheelbase 6-8")???

I am trying to come up with a way to not cut the floor of the Jeep out, yet still gain clerance and wheelbase
