Local word has it that :rainbow: Jesse James is running an S-10 in the Pikes Peak Hillclimb. Appearently, he is up there now for practice / qualifying and is reportidly scared to $hit of the drive. Yea, its all hearsay and yes, it is a 4wd race and no, I don't have the time to confirm it.

your :rainbow: .........and pikes peak is more than a 4wd race

not everybody can drive on a gravle road at 80 plus mph sideways in a turn pointing the steering wheel the opposite way...........then whipping it back around doing it the same thing the opposite way......the whole time shifting up and down.

 :flipoff2:

Why am I :rainbow: ?

I put the :rainbow: before Jesse James because I think he is :rainbow:. However, I might want to keep that on the down low because he is in town and could probably beat my ass. I don't think the the hillclimb is :rainbow:, I think it is sweet. Second oldest race in the country it is.

Your right most people can't shift and steer on a mountain road while going 80 mph. I think that is why old JJ is $hitting himself wishing he was in Mexico w/ Kid Rock.

I noted it was a 4wd race because that is what we generally talk about here right?

Maybe you are :rainbow:?

Really?? I thought everyone could do that?? :flipoff2:

It ain't the driving so much that would scare me, it's the "Oops missed the turn..........aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhh" That would scare the shit outta me

I am always confused why when a person becomes overly successful they become :rainbow: , why is that? I would think that Jesse has a manager that make strong recommendations as to what he should and should not do and I imagine a certain part of that is "stike while the iron is hot" mentality.

How about you head up to Pike's Peak and race and come back and tell us if you were scared $hitless. Why the worthless bashing of someone when you would probably be no better off then he is?

By the way I am not a huge Jesse fan but the mentality to bash people when they become successful and branch out always pisses me off. If you can do better get out there and do it.

This thread is :rainbow:

Hmmmm......

My main reason for stating that Jesse James is :rainbow: is because he cut up that super clean classic Bronco. His "bad boy" attitude add's to his :rainbow:ness also.

I also think the Sierra Club is :rainbow: because they sued Colorado Springs in 1999 and now us city dwellers are stuck with a 20 million dollar bill to pave the road to the top of the peak. Each year we pave a little bit more. Should be paved to the top in '09.

I don't think either is :rainbow: just because of thier popularity.

Back to the hillclimb - http://ppihc.com/competitors/ The semi class has to be the coolest. I have no idea what is going on in the middle picture.

Perhaps they were :rainbow: all along? :p JJ always reminded me of the weird kid who sat in the back of the class & ate paste, but I have to admit the ride up Pikes Peak at speed would give my pucker muscles a workout (hell, it was kinda creepy in my sister's K-car :D).

As far as I can say JJ is a arrogant homo, I stopped by his shop with one of my work buddies and his wife (It just hapens that West Coast Choppers is on my way home from work unfortunately) While I was in there he declined to sign a autograph to a 12 or 13 year old kid saying I don't do that anymore....Ok everyone has their bad days so thats cool.

Recently my roomate went to his shop and he declined to take a picture with her saying he looked like crap due to a accident he had gotten in to.....whatever.........so he went on to the tonight show yet he could not pose for a picture a few days earlier.

So I think he needs to apprecieate his fans a little more.

BTW, I know JJ sold the West Coast Choppers clothing logo but it is so big that it is sold bootleg in Tijauna.

So in a nutshell I think he is a cool guy, cool products rolling out of his shop, no apprecieation for his fans and I hope he oversteers...Thank you

people who get into entertainment want fans, they are the ones that should appriciate their fans.....fabricators dont want fans .....at least i dont....they......I....just want respect and maybe a few good words for what i do.

I just think it's funny that Jesse James has grown so big that his "Billy Bad-Ass" products are now sold at every local Wal-Mart and Autozone in town. Talk about a sell-out...

There was a point when someone wearing West Coast Choppers apparral actually meant that they had been to the shop, now it just means that you've been to Wally World and bought it off the clearance rack.

How about you head up to Pike's Peak and race and come back and tell us if you were scared

you set me up with a ride and I'd be happy to try it. :flipoff2:

I just chuckle at that his marketing department (yeah, I do think he's got a marketing department, not just a PR manager) has built him up to be all badass, and he gets scared of stuff just like all the rest of us. He's been built up as the superduper no-fear-dude--and underneath he's just another regular guy who made it big. And the public loves to tear him down for it.
To be honest, with as much as he's been built-up as a badass, and as much money as he's made off of playing that part, it's only fair that it come out that he's scared too. I know I would be.

Any more details about that? Thats %$@#% crazy if its true. I already hate the Sierra Club so much its not even funny.

There is probably a lot of snow up there now, it rained for half an hour. Clouds haven't cleared off yet enough to see the peak.

Jesse is okay with me, but he doesn't seem to be much of a driver based on how he drove that Bronco.

It's true. The city has already paved a few miles of the highway. I sometimes work up on the summit during the winter/early spring, and it gets pretty nerve racking coming down the switch backs especially the last one before glenn cove. In my opinion its safer to be driving on snow and ice that has a dirt road underneath it.
The city of Colorado Springs maintains the Pikes Peak highway as far as road repair and snow remowal. The :rainbow: Sierra Club sued the City over the amount of erosion caused by road grading and general use. They (sierra club) cited that the debre from the road was cloging up streams effecting trout and wildlife. There might be more to this situation the what I explained, but with all the financial resources that the :rainbow: Sierra club has I think they should shit the money to pave the highway instead of Colorado Springs tax payers.

Once you start a reality TV show called "Monster Garage", then you become an entertainer. Jesse is a fabricator turned entertainer, so he should expect people to stop by and want an autograph, I see it as now being part of his job.

PS- I have respect for your work, you do cool fab work. Keep it up. :D
