Doing a rear disk on my D60 and was told to use 78/79 Caddy rear calipers so I can still have a parking brake. I have sence found that the calipers fro pre-78 and post-79 are different. I need to know which ones to use, or If anyone has another suggestion.
Thanks,

The set on my 9" is supposedly from an 85ish El Dorado. I should be heading down to where I am storing it tomorrow, and will pull the part number off of it.

The ones I use are the big ones that bolt up the same as the Chevy 1/2 and 3/4 ton fronts, I think they are '76-'78. I've always bought parts (ie rebuild kits) for a '77.

The 76-78 rear calipers are the big ones with a 7" pin spacing. The 79-85 are the smaller calipers with a 5.5" pin spacing (or close to it).

I used the 1984 vintage, they are smaller, but easier to find parts and rebuilds for. I got mine at pick and pull for 30 bucks, including brackets.

So can you pull the brackets from these for a D60???they fit!!! If not then where can you get brackets that fit a D60...and what rotors do you use(I know kind of newbie shit...sorry):D:D:D

I am using 1979 Caddy ElDo front calipers on my International Harvestor D60 rear. Its 5 lug and I am using Ford F150/Bronco front rotors. I have to grind some to get the rotor to fit.

I just cut up the OEM Eldo brackets to fit my aplication. I used GMC K-1500 rotors for the 6 lug pattern, they are 1.1" thick and 12 inch diameter. You could use CJ-7 front rotors if you wanted 5 on 5.5". Either will fit over the axle and be held in place by the wheel.

The brackets are easy to modify and even easier to weld on to your d-60 tube, or you can get creative and figure a way to bolt them to the flange on the axle end. Either way, you're gonna have to get creative....

I got my 14 ff brackets from TSM, they also make Dana 60 brackets. For the ff D60, you need the larger 76-78 eldorado calipers. If its semifloat you could use the 79-85 calipers since it'll be using a smaller rotor

So do any of you guys know a website that shows someone converting a D60 from drums to discs? I'm trying to get a better idea of whats involved.

How much did you pay for your brackets from them...I called them earlier today and they wanted $300 for the whole kit minus calipers???
