we have a semi-floatin 14 bolt w 6 lug, does anyone know if the 12 bolt brake stuff, backin plate and all will bolt to the semi-float 14?

I would say no just compare the 2 side by side. why are you even thinking of this? :confused:

my girlfriends blazer had a 12 bolt, but she blew the rear end up, like needs new shafts, bearings, ring and pinion, like $1100 worth of shit, i found a 14-bolt semi-floater for $200 thats complete minus some brake springs and drums, so if i can salvage her 12 bolt brake stuff the whole swap only costs $200, otherwise its gonna be about another $150-200 in drums, shoes, and spring kits

Acouple of quick measurements should tell you. Even if you have to buy the parts, it sounds like a good deal. You're not forgetting about matching gear ratios, are you?

3.42 gears in both rear ends, and the 14 bolt is gov-locked, right now i'm having to grind the old spring perches off to put new ones a little closer together to match the blazer springs
