: Woohoo! Awesome day - Pics
Azrckcrawler 01-19-2002, 06:11 PM Well, we dodged a bullet and managed to get in front of a group of 10 or so Jeeps. Long story but they took a wrong turn and we started the trail just as they got there. On the way out we spotted them near the first obstacle.

We were testing out a homebrew traction bar on my friends Jeep, worked good. Details after we do some more testing. But it's cheap and simple.

This spot is a good axle tester. You get your tires wedged at some point and have to load up the drivetrain to continue forward.

Great pics as usual Chris:flipoff2: And the green guy is because it is 25 degrees here and the fricken wind is blowing on top of that = we are expecting MORE snow......:(
ZuksRule 01-20-2002, 06:42 AM Sweet!! I see you now have a winch too :flipoff2: :D
Awesome pics as usual! :p
How do you like wheelin' without the windshield? After a few trips without it you'll never want to put it back on. I put the doors, targa and windshield back on my Zuk to go play in the snow yesterday and I hate it! I'm ready for summer!
I've been studying the pictures of the flat black/green Zuk..... is that a V8 in that thing?

Azrckcrawler 01-20-2002, 06:50 PM Wait'll you guys see what we did today. I froze on the way in to the trail, 38 degrees at 40mph, had 4 layers on top, sweats and jeans, still cold. Anyway today was a fullsize run up Armageddon, I was the smallest rig there if you don't count Tracy Jordans Cruiser/Buggy, must have been two full width Jeeps, 5 Commandos, a K5 and an S-10 hybrid. Anyway the first chute claimed two windshields, basically turned two trucks into convertables. Oh and I have a new respect for you guys that run mud, the chute had running water in it, took some of the guys 30-60 minutes to get thru. Later it turned into a nonstop diff grabbing boulder fest, the rocks finished off the K5's body and Tracy took out a front Dana 60 axle, u-joint and knuckle.

JackA 01-21-2002, 11:52 AM Lookin' good:smokin:
Are we still running Anaconda this weekend?
The Hammers trip was killer. Ran 4 trails, played on the dunes and had no problems. The wheather was a whole different story. You know it's cold when 5 gallons of water freezes solid over nite.
I am ready to run again this weekend. :skull:

Oh yeah, we are on. Was kinda worried about breaking stuff on Armageddon, the chute had running water in it! A couple of the fullsized rigs used the whole gas pedal getting past the rock  Bent up my skid plate real good but other than that I got off easy. Anaconda 9am Table Mesa. JV sounds cold. What's the elevation? Did you catch that we are going to try and cleanup that new trail in the Tanks? Feb 2nd. If we get done quick I also want to run the waterfalls on Upper Firebird.

JackA 01-21-2002, 07:05 PM Chris, 9am sounds good to me. Hopefully I don't take out the windshield on the big waterfall sqeeze thing. More wheeling=more fun.:D

Was gonna but I am feeling lazy :) The Zuk did really well this weekend, didn't even stall it going up the chute. I have to go over and check all the nuts and bolts, with no windshield you can't hear stuff working loose

1970cruiser 01-22-2002, 06:23 PM I hope you feel lucky to have that great of wheeling so close. Kneel down and give thanks to the rock gods. Sweet Pics, Sweet Rigs!
Azrckcrawler 01-23-2002, 05:34 AM Oh yeah, we are lucky. I think I sacrificed an SX to the rock gods on Sunday. The tire was flat yesterday when I went to go move the Zuk, found a big chunk missing, about the size of a half dollar and over 1/4" deep right by the rim  Going to try and fine a spare used 33 x 15.50 today at the tire yards.
