I know that hummer wheels have issues with most axles due to the 8" (roughly) offset. However, I've often wondered if that wouldn't be a great way to utilize the more common dually axles on full-size trucks. IIRC, the hub spacers on the front D60s are about 4" or so, which would make the hummer wheels the equivalent of a 4" offset wheel.
Yes, I did a search. Not much use. I saw this question asked before but never a clear answer.

seems reasonable to me
i think the only concern with hummer rims is the steering components

wolf, you site says you have costom hubs with dually offset on the rear d70. was this in order to make the rear track width the same as the front or for some other reason?

Yes, it was to make the track width similar to the front.. The front is still slightly wider. The Hummer wheels do clear 1/2 ton disk brakes without the spacers however.
What you see in the pic is a CNC watercut flange that is bolted to the stock WMS, and then another flange is pressed onto the hub. The two flanges are then guesseted together with the 8 pieces of tubing.

you dont have to worry about building those things if you belly up and get rear steer. Remember that you have 50 percent of your manuverability locked up in that rear axle!!!!
I however prefer mog axles and that is how I am going to setup rear steer!!!
