I am thinking about purchasing a 94 80 series cruiser
but have a question about the locking diffrentials.

The unit I am looking at has front and rear electric factory lockers but when you engage them you get a "flashing" orange indicator on the cluster showing the diffrentials. Does the "flashing" indicate they are functioning or malfunctioning? I have had conflicting information.

malfunctioning. the indicators should glow constantly when engaged. did you try and go forward a little bit to get them to engage? if so, and they did not engage then the actuators are probably corroded inside, not uncommon. they can be cleaned and reassembled. there is a write up in the 80 series archives somewhere.
