Hey guys I found a medium duty truck reduction box in the shop that is in good shape. I would like to use it between my divorced 205 and my auto tranny. It has roughly 3.5:1, 2:1, and 1:1 ratios which would be awesome. However the only way i can make it fit would be by having the tranny share a u joint with the reduction box. Will this work? The tranny output of course is a slip yoke so there would be enough slip travel to get the joint in and out but will the lack of vertical or horizontal travel break things? Also how short could a driveshaft be built if it needed basically no extension? Jess, or anyone. Thanks!
