: Exo's...when do they colapse? Spacing question....

I thought about doing a big exo on my 4runner once, but thought that they had to be tucked in to the body in order to work at all...hence why this went into the newbie section, obviously I missed something. I thought about doing something like this:

But I was under the impression that a cage that spaced out would just colapse when you lay the thing over, or roll it. Any thoughts on that? Looks like it would allow the rear doors to open fine...but won't it colapse and do more damage then good? Still deciding what my next buildup will be....don't wanna build a 2nd gen 4runner unless a big exo like that would hold up. -D

front looks good but the back half is gonna collapse on you unless there's more tubing in the right places

that's the ugliest thing i've ever seen

plus it wouldn't last

why not make it tighter to the body?

OMFG.. :barf::barf::eek:

I seriously hope that that thing never has to rely on that exo to save the driver/passengers lives.

Plain scary.

Tuck it up tight, cross brace it as much as possible. If not possible to cross brace it enough lay an interior cage in and tie to that.
