I need some tires for the street and occasionally on the rocks. What is my best choice as far as street (wear, handling, ride) and rocks: BFG MT, MTR, ProComp MT, SSR, any others. Looking for something in 35" preferrably a radial.
I already have a set of 39.5/38.5 boggers for the mud. The truck is more of a mud truck with a D44 up front. So I want to run a 35" rock/street tire so the D44 will live a happy life. What do you think?

You might want to look @ the BigO XT in the 35x12.5 its a tough 6 ply tire great on road tire and duel compound tread that sticks to the rock better than anything I have seen!

IMHO for a combo tire I say MTR any day...I have heard nothing but crap about the SSR falling apart and the BFG is ok I have heard the pro comp wears fast and my problem with the big o flavor is they charge as much for it as you pay for the mtr which I think is a better tire...just my $.02

big O is a tire store out west. i never saw one til i moved to cali. but with a little research you will probably find the exact tread compound on about 5 different named sidewalls.

Ditto... these tires work great on rocks. I run them at 10 psi. I've got 2200 miles on them and they still have 98% tread left on them. I found them at tire rack for $156 and 4wheel parts matched it. IMO a better tire than BFG, more sidewall protection.
