: Old Bikini Top?

Does anyone have an old soft top or bikini top they are throwing away? I just put on a full cage, and my bikini top will not fit anymore. I have some trampoline material that I am going to make a new top out of, but I need the plastic piece that goes in the channel on top of the windshield. It is 1/8"x3/4"x~52". I am in Utah 84062 if you want to see what shipping would be.

I have an almost new bikini top (3 months use), that I would trade plus some $ if you were thinking about a replacement.

I am also open to alternative materials to use in place of the old, but I need to be able to sew through it with the industrial sewing machine.

Thanks,

Since nobody has answered your query, here's what I do, I lay my WS donw when wheeling, lessen's the chance of damaging it if I lay it over.
I zip tie an old bikini in place on the cage, usually take lots of kidding cause it is not pretty, but does keep the su off me and the passengers, I leave it on during the duration of my trip, then cut the ties and stash it under my seat.
If you have the ability to sew a chanel on, then you should also have the abiity to engineer something that looks good ad works like mine, attach it to the cage.
Post pix if you do.
I my want you to make me one :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
I'm thinking this could sell.

I could make you one, and it does sound like a good idea. If I were to do that I could just sew a tube in the front and put in a piece of 1/8"x3/4" flat bar that you coud screw to your windshield hoop. Have any reservations about drilling the top of your windshield hoop?

I don't kave my calendar here and don't remember what your cage looks like. What I have in mind won't work with a stock rear cage because it will be designed to be a "family" shade. I would need some good measurements, and each one would have to be custom made to fit different cages.

I would guess they would be about $150 because of the custom nature. I would use black rubber bungees to hold it down in the back, and maybe a couple snaps.

Let me know what you guys think.
