: Hi Steer Hysteria

It seems like every body and their brother is making high steer arms. Some are straight , some are offset a little, others do it from behind. Avalanche, Parts Mike, Ott, a whole bunch of board members as well as others.

I am putting a 60 in my cj7 SOA with rancho 44044 2 1/2 springs. Hi steer is next. Whats a newbie to do? (besides a search  :flipoff2: )

What is your experience with each? Or who's did you choose and why?

I just put a 60 in my 79 cj7 with 2.5 springs and I went with the Avalanche arms. I am only using the pasenger side arm and keeping the tie rod in the original place and getting one of the rockstomper rock rods. But if you plan on moving the tie rod up I would consider going with one that goes behind the knuckle because of clearance probloems with the steering box without putting the tie rod in the hole closest to the knuckle. And there seems to be a lot of debate on what kind of stress this puts on everything.

Thanks Jeepmaxx.

Surely some others are running Hi steer on their 60's. Anyone?

I like the idea of running the tie rod on the back side. I wonder if there is enough room if you wanted to turn the knuckles and raise the pinion up a little to improve the driveshaft angle?
