looks like it uses 2 IFS left side arms for the "true" 4 wheel drive effect. WIERD!!!

my question is...what kind of transfer case has 2 front outputs? and why why WHY would you want to do something like that? Does each R&P turn just the outer axleshaft on its side? there couldn't be an intermediate shaft. my head hurts.

yes :D
each front wheel has it's own R&P, the "t-case" is an oddball custom type POS, has outputs on both sides of the tranny.
As to why, all wheel drive & it can still sit as low to the ground as a stock van. I'm not sure if the cases are lockable, I think they're just kinda like a AWD setup.
A friend of mine has a GM version of this in his wrecking yard. Same goofy type of setup... each lower A-arm has a R&P on it.
Cool idea, but some weird shit.
