Is it possible on a Dana 44 to put the swap the left and right side knuckles so that the tierod would be behind the axle. The reason I'm asking this is because I was wondering if this would work with a '75 Ford F350 2wd behind the axle steering box.

Paul........ yes you can swap the knuckles....... and I wouldn't use a Ford steering box ( unless it was made by saginaw ) the older ford boxes are notorious leakers and the P/S pumps were not too hot either ........
