C=60s,
D=70s and so on
next is the year in that decade D1=1971
next is what division it was originally built for Z=mustang
next is M and it tells what division released the part :confused:

6015 is the basic part number if that number came off the block it tells ya its a block
A=as originally cast
B=one change since originally cast
C=two changes since originally cast
all the way through to Z excluding i then it starts again
AA= 24? changes since the part was originally cast

the 27J1 has got me stumped may someone else can help ya there
And all that likely means shit because it is what it is :flipoff2: hope it helps a bit

'M' as cast in 302s usually means Mexican blocks. Look for two 1" dia. boss' on the front. Suposedly higher nickle content and thicker webs.
