Is this passenger side drop? I'm guessing it is.

No, you would need a SYE kit for this one. The later model ones use a slip yoke style driveline.

It's a round style Th400 and 205.

Yes, it's passenger drop.

Actually, 1980 should be a flange type.

ok i'm 99 % sure i'll take it, shipping is only 55 $ from forward air, but what does round style mean? will this work fine in a 73 jimmy? i'll have an adaptor plate to mount it to my motor so that isnt a problem. anyway is there any reason this tranny wouldnt work with a 203/205 doubler? thanks

branndonc go to ORD's web page and read what you have to do to hook a 203 to a round pattern output. You have to drill the face of the 203 to match the back of the trans. You also need the right spline input on the 203.

Yep. 70~k5 is right. You would need a 32 spline 203. I have a stock adapter on this will work with the 203 low range. ORD can hook you up with the input gear as well as the adapter to this NP205. All you'd need is the adapter and the 203 low range witht he right input gear.

Stalking me, 70~k5? Did you need this tranny 205 combo?

Nope, I'm not stalking you Grendel. At some point I'll need a large bearing 32 spline 205 with the short input. But I could have any 205 bored out for the bearing and could even use a 31 spline ford input for a doubler.

By the way I'm sorry for posting the ( :flipoff: ) in that other thread. I still think both the seller and buyer have to up hold what's right, but that wasn't a reason to flip you off.

false, 80 was the ONLY year that 205 were slip output,

GM anyways

and 80 was the last year for 205 in anything cept for 1 ton
and about the only time a 250 was in anything under 1 ton before 72/73 changeover period

a slip output 205 is an oddball but nothing special other than being a one year deal, youre best to covnert one to bolt on yoke to make it like the olden days 205's

have fun
