When removing the C's off an EB 44 is their just the welds along the two ends of the C's were the two but the tube. I just cut fairly deep into two welds but they don't seem to want to let loose. Are their more or do I just need to go deeper? I am done for the night but wanted to find out beforeI start again. Thanks for the info.

just the two welds...
what are you cutting with?
back when I cut some off my 44 I used a cut-off tool, cut all the way through one weld and just notched the other weld, used a big chisel and bfh to pull it up and break the other weld.
When I'm not trying to save them... just grab the torch and do some destructive cuts and grind everything smooth afterwards.

Cut off wheel & BFH work everytime for me.
There stuck on there pretty good even after cutting a slit and grinding, they won't just fall off they always need a little help.

Yep just alittle more grinding and a few more lbs on the up swing!
If any one wants a good set of C's and will pick them up in Dixon Ca. they are yours for the taking!

I took the easy way out with the air arc.In the 2nd pic you can see the seam after the weld was blown out and in the 3rd where it was blown out around the inner C.

Any chance I could talk you into shipping these to me for a fee?
I'm getting ready to install a F/W D-60 and it would be a big help.

Doesnt the 60 use a bigger C and have larger axle tubes?

You are correct, but they work fine.
The biggest issue and it's not really that big of an issue is using some 3/8" or 1/2" plate as a spacer between the radius arm cap and arm where the bolts go through on top & bottom to fill the gap created by the larger dia. tube.

I guess I wouldnt swear to it tonto, but I think rokcrln is talking about the inner Cs for the knuckle, not the wedges.I thought this was what he was asking at first too.

Doh, what was I thinkng.
Guess I was reading to fast and not thinking.
I was reading C's and thinking wedges for the C-bushing to mount to.
