Scary thing is the guy wanting to do it says he's heard both ways on it.... so there's people who think it's alright to lift that way.... I just hope they don't live near me!

notice they are shackles front and rear! I saw a 74 toyota 2wd that was converted to 4x4 done just like this in my area! funny I haven't seen it in a year or so, maybe it crashed?

I don't think the rear ones are supposed to be shackles. I'm surprised it didn't fold when he put weight on it.

There is a Mid '70's Chevy here in town that has the homemade shackles on all points. They are at least a foot long! I think the driveshafts are the only thing that keeps it from sliding forward or backwards.:barf: :rasta: I didn't think that you could use them as a suspension link. At least the truck is stationary right now.

You mean this one?

I've got lots of interesting suspension and steering pics on one of my websites at http://home.attbi.com/~mtm_storage/auto/

Hahahhaha now that about ties with the first pic! Some people should not be allowed to pic of a welder and torch!! Course the fact that they thought up that idea is rediculous!

The guy in the last pic has to be a former Chernobyl designer engineer... Dispite his lack of engineering talent, he did at least disconnect the front sway bar....

Has to be about the biggest Land Cruiser I've ever seen, too.
Gotta love the 2 foot lift blocks!

I guess some people are a little crazy:rasta:
