I have an 86 Ford Ranger with a 2.3 liter engine, Toyo Koygo 5 speed trans. I was trying to install a dana 300 transfer case but knowone makes an adapter . Does anyone know a way to do the coversion or can you suggest a transmission that will work with my engine and the dana 300 trasfer case.

You could always try to mount a divorced t-case behind the tranny, but you would need the tail section from a 2wd Ranger tranny. The only other thing would be to put a C5 tranny behind the 2.3 (if possibly) and then get an adapter to mount the t-case. I've looked all over when I was getting info to work with my 3.0L V6. There's not much out there to help us Ranger owners.

Honestly, I think the options range from "none" to "little"

Most any tranny that will bolt to a dana 300 will take some fancy adapters to mate it to your 2.3L

I would look long and hard at putting a ford 2.3L T-5 bellhousing onto a jeep T-5 that had a 300 on the back of it. if the input shafts are different maybe you could swap them as well.
