I'm looking to see if there are any companies out there making lower profile oil pump neck. I know most people want more oil but I'm looking for a shallower pan that can give me more clearance in between my oil pan and front axle.

It's for a Ford 302
Thanks for any help.

I've never seen one that's lower. Mainly its because the pump has to have proper clearance between the crankshaft and itself. There is one option for clearance and that is to run a dry sump system like what a stock car runs and use an externally mounted oil pump. Total cost of that system $1000+.

Best advice is to lift you truck.

what pan are you using? a dual sump pan usualy gives more clearance than a rear sump unit does.

Using a modified Bronco pan. Clearanced in a few spots, I have the engine mounts directly over the axle so it'll get interesting.

Thanks for the advice guys .
